Bishop’s University professor and author Estelle Chamoux will meet young readers in Sherbrooke Wednesday, Aug. 12, as part of “Le 12 août, j’achète un livre québécois.”
Chamoux, a professor of cellular biology at Bishop’s, will be at Biblairie GGC from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to sign copies of “Crois-le ou non : Les yeux,” published by Éditions Saint-Jean.
Released in May 2026, the book is Chamoux’s first children’s publication, according to Bishop’s University. It introduces young readers to facts and questions about eyes and vision.
Bishop’s said the book includes surprising facts, useful and sometimes less-than-useful information, historical anecdotes, record-breaking achievements and answers to a range of questions about eyes.
One of the facts highlighted by the university is that people blink nearly 30,000 times a day.
Chamoux will be among the featured guests at Biblairie GGC for the Aug. 12 event. She will be on site to meet young readers as well as sign copies of the book.
The signing takes place Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Biblairie GGC, 1567 King Street West in Sherbrooke.
