Granby police are asking the public to help identify additional potential victims as they continue investigating Emma Grégoire, a 27-year-old from the Granby area who is facing multiple charges involving alleged sexual offences against children.
The Service de police de Granby issued the public appeal on July 2, saying investigators believe there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.
According to police, Grégoire was arrested on June 17, 2026, on allegations related to the possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Grégoire returned to court the following day to face 10 additional charges involving two alleged victims.
The charges include allegations of:
Sexual touching;
Incitement to sexual touching;
Sexual assault; and
Producing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
Police allege the offences occurred between January 2022 and June 2026. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Police believe there could be more victims
Investigators say they have reason to believe additional victims may exist and are asking anyone with relevant information to contact their local police service.
According to the investigation, Grégoire allegedly approached young mothers to establish relationships of trust before becoming alone with their children while providing babysitting services. Police allege the offences occurred during those occasions.
Investigators also say Grégoire is known as Emma Grégoire, but allegedly also used the names Cédric Grégoire and Cédrick Grégoire. Police believe potential victims may be located in Haute-Yamaska, Estrie or Montérégie.
Advice for parents
The Granby Police Service is encouraging parents to take seriously any signs that a child is uncomfortable or distressed.
If a child discloses possible abuse, police recommend avoiding leading questions, reassuring the child and reporting the information to authorities as quickly as possible.
Provincial resources deployed
Because multiple alleged victims have already been identified, the Gestion des enquêtes sur les crimes en série (GECS), coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec, has been activated.
The provincial structure brings together police services across Quebec to coordinate investigations involving suspected serial offenders, identify additional victims more quickly and share investigative resources.
